Obama’s Hostage Crisis

8 Jun

Jimmy Carter was the worst President in American history for one reason and one reason alone. He presided over the malaise known as the disco era. But while he was in charge, there was also something about hostages going on. Barack Obama has his own hostage crisis to worry about, and unless he gets the hostages released before election day, 2012, he’ll be a one-termer too.

The Tea Party Congress doesn’t want to raise the debt ceiling unless they get massive job-killing spending cuts. For the first time in history the United States will default on our obligations unless something drastic is done, and done soon. Last month’s poor jobs numbers are the result of two factors. The total loss of one of our top markets – Japan, due to the tsunami, earthquake, and nuclear meltdown. But economically, the debt ceiling crisis is even worse. No one in their right mind is going to even think about expanding their business until America decides we’re going to pay our bills.

America is being held hostage by the Tea Party Congress, whose rallying cry is “Shut ‘er down!”

They keep giving the rich & corporations tax cuts claiming they will create jobs. My question is WHEN?????

These rich people have had tax cuts up the wazoo for how many years now – 9+ – since the Bushy years and all we did was lose jobs. Now we’re slowly creeping back into job creation, NOT losses, and people are still bitching. It’s gonna take time to get back all the jobs Bush and his cronies lost. We have had steady job increases now for, what did they say 9 months in a row? Not losses – increases. They are all upset about the last figures – cuz they weren’t overwhelming huge. Of course not. Companies take their tax breaks and STILL don’t put on more people or make them temp or part time jobs which aren’t counted at all. I know – my husband works a full time temp job at a warehouse with no vacation, sick days or any benefits. It’s all a numbers racket.

It really is pathetic, and those rich a-holes don’t give a damn. I wish you and your hubby all the best. 🙂
